R.A.D. Objective:
To develop and enhance the options of self-defense, so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked.
the R.A.D. System teaches:
Risk Reduction Principles
- Classwork includes techniques on personal self-awareness and surroundings
- Responsibility for personal safety & dependency on self
Physical self-defense techniques
- Learn physical strengths
- Appropriate defense to confrontations
Simulations
- Opportunity to use techniques learned
- Students respond in assault scenarios
- Optional at student's discretion

This video depicts the final scenarios of a R.A.D. class and was produced, written and voiced by an actual rape survivor, a Cal State Fullerton student. This was her class project that delivers a global message. RAIN Network statistics show that a rape occurs every eight minutes, and a sexual assault every two minutes in America. Please watch and learn for ways you can help protect yourself.
