Emergency Alerts
- Red -

The image displayed gives the viewer an idea of what an emergency notification received via email might look like. All emergency notifications will have a header that says "CSUF Police Department Emergency Alert” with a red bar that indicates that the message is an emergency notification.

"Emergency Alerts" may be sent via email, phone call, or text message. The messaging will subsequently be accessible on this website and X. In the event of a critical emergency, the CSUF campus digital signage will be activated, which will visually display notifications.

Clery Notifications
- Blue -

The image displayed gives the viewer an idea of what a Clery notification received via email might look like. All Clery notifications will have a header that says "CSUF Police Department Clery Notification" with a light blue bar that indicates that the message is a Clery Timely Warning.

"Clery Notifications" or Timely Warnings are sent via email, published on this website, and via X, and in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act. The purpose is to provide preventative information to the campus community to aid members from becoming the victim of a similar crime.

Community Safety Bulletins
- Yellow -

The image displayed gives the viewer an idea of what a Community Safety Bulletin received via email might look like. All Community Safety Bulletins will have a header that says "CSUF Police Department Community Safety Bulletin” with a yellow bar that indicates that the message is a safety bulletin.

"Community Safety Bulletins" are sent via email, published to this website, and via X when they don't meet the Emergency Alert or Clery Notification criteria, but may be helpful for the community to know or could aid them in making safe choices in the event of a scam.
