Safety Escort Program
The safety escort services provided by CSOs are available to the campus community (students, faculty/staff, and visitors) who are in fear for their safety when walking from campus to their vehicle, class, or dorm on their own. Students are encouraged to use the buddy system when walking to the parking lots in the evening hours.
How do I get a safety escort?
If you are concerned for your safety, a CSO will provide you with a safety escort. To request an escort, all you have to do is pick up any campus phone and dial ext. 2515, or call (657) 278-2515 from your mobile phone. If necessary, you may use any emergency blue phone on campus. The dispatcher will confirm your location and may ask your name and/or description of your clothing. This will allow us to locate you quicker on a busy campus. A CSO will then be sent to meet you and escort you to your destination. After 12 a.m., a Police Officer will be sent to meet you instead. These escort services are limited to the campus boundaries.
