Classroom Unlock Requests during the day
Between 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., If you are faculty, staff, or a CSUF student, authorized to access the classroom, call Physical Plant Operator at (657) 278-3494 to request the classroom door to be unlocked. You can also make such a request by contacting the Department Office responsible for the classroom to be opened.
Classroom Unlocks at night
Between 5 p.m. to 6 a.m., If you are faculty, staff, or a student authorized to access a classroom, call Police Dispatch at (657) 278-2515 to request the classroom door to be unlocked. If you are a student, you will be required to provide a valid after-hours room permit for the given room and valid identification (CSUF Titan Card, Driver's License) to University Police personnel.
NOTE: Students not possessing both an after-hour room permit and proper identification will not be given access to the room. Students occupying a room after 10 p.m. may be asked to present a valid after-hour room permit and proper identification by any member of the University Police Department. Those individuals not possessing after-hour room permits will be asked and required to leave.
Offices, Computer Labs, and Media Labs
Call the University Police Department at (657) 278-2515 to request these types of rooms to be unlocked. The requester shall provide proof of authorization to access the room and proper identification. Access will be denied to anyone who cannot provide required documentation.
University Police Personnel will deny access to an alarmed room unless the requester has 1. appropriate room access authorization, 2. proper identification, and 3. can deactivate the alarm by entering the correct alarm access code. If anyone accesses an alarmed room and does not know the pass code, they will not be permitted to remain in the room unless they can properly enter the pass code and deactivate the alarm.
