Prevention Programs

The University has established programs that serve to raise the level of safety awareness on the campus community. These programs include:

  • New Employee Orientation (Monthly)
  • New Student Orientation Program (Each Semester)
  • Resident Advisors Training Program (Each Semester)
  • Residence Hall Watch Program (Monthly)
  • Sexual Assault Prevention (Each semester through WoMen's Center)
  • Personal safety awareness (Each semester through Student Housing)
  • Alcohol and drug abuse programs (Each semester by the Student Health & Counseling Center)
  • Theft prevention (Each semester by University Police Department)
  • Workplace violence training (ongoing by University Police and Environmental Health & Instructional safety)
  • Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.)
  • Campus Watch Program (ongoing)
